Coercion and Violence

In Germany, exploitation and violence in prostitution are prohibited and prosecuted by the police.

Help from the police

If you are victim of threats, intimidation, beatings, or if you are being forced to work in prostitution, you can call the police. The police emergency number 110 is free of charge.

Multilingual support hotline

You can also call the national support hotline “Violence against women”. Here you can reach someone around the clock, who can refer you to a contact point close to your location. The hotline counselors speak many languages. If you speak little German, you will be directed to a person who speaks your language.
